Moana dives into culture!

During the making of Disney's Moana, the filmmakers were committed to understanding the Polynesian culture in order to deliver an authentic film. They travelled to Pacific Islands to talk to the locals and learn about the traditions. They were also taken aboard ships in Fiji to get an idea of how wayfinders would travel, and the culture’s connection with ocean.
